As a result of the February SNAP benefits being issued early Ohio is adjusting the March benefit issuance schedule. Eligible SNAP families will receive half of their March benefits on February 22, 2019, and the rest of the benefits will be issued on the normal March issuance date.
The USDA has confirmed that there is funding available for SNAP benefits through March. Funding for March benefits will be available even if another shutdown occurs in mid-February.
SNAP recipients are being reminded that February benefits loaded on to their EBT cards on January 16th; there will not be another load in February. Recipients are encouraged to plan accordingly to ensure that the February benefits loaded in January last until their scheduled March load date.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this evolving situation. Our agency will keep you updated as we learn more about how possible future government shutdowns may effect benefit issuance.
